The 2025 calendar of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe offers stability and continuity

  • Four meetings in the same amazing conditions in Southern Europe as the previous seasons

  • Pre-season testing on December 2nd and 3rd in Estoril offers additional tracktime opportunities for the various teams and drivers of the Porsche competition

The season of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe has barely ended, and the organization has already completed the calendar for the third edition, the 2025 season! Once again, there will be four rounds in Southern Europe, starting on January 18th and 19th in Portimão and the final on February 28th and March 1st in the Catalan capital of Barcelona. In the meantime, the teams are also heading to Estoril and Valencia, or in other words, no fewer than three circuits where the Formula 1 cars have already raced. Amazing meetings on beautiful circuits, in a pleasant southern climate, are the perfect ingredients for a strong third edition of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe!

Let's return to the end of the 2024 season, with great names on the honors list. The Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe 2024 crowned its champions in Barcelona at the beginning of March. Ariel Levi (Team GP Elite) and Robert Sulma (Proton Huber Competition) became the 2024 laureates in the Sport Division and the Club Division respectively. Levi also became the new champion in the PRO class and Sulma in the AM class, while Alexander Reimann (EST1 Racing) became the champion in the PRO-AM class. Finally, Graham King took the title in the GT4 class.

We have had a great 2024 season in terms of competition and organisation,” says Series Manager Lars Plato. “The intensive contacts with the teams also ensured that the preparatory work for the 2025 calendar went well and we took into account as much as possible the wishes of the teams, which of course form the foundation of our championship. The 2025 calendar is actually just a continuation of 2024. Stability and continuity, so to speak. Please note, there is one important novelty, but this does not concern a race weekend, but an official test on December 2 and 3 in Estoril. The choice for the Portuguese circuit is a well-considered choice. Estoril is a stone's throw from Lisbon, with its international airport and of course, the city itself also offers many options, not least in terms of hotels and restaurants.”

The test days on December 2 and 3 in Estoril offer the teams an excellent opportunity to prepare for the coming season of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe, but also for the other Porsche competitions, and of course to make decisions towards the 2025 season. Teams have the opportunity to test with new drivers here and drivers have the opportunity to get to know a new team before signing their contracts for the coming winter and summer season.

After the test days in Estoril, the end-of-year break follows, with the Christmas and New Year period, followed by the opener of the season at the Autódromo do Algarve in Portimão on January 18 and 19. Two weeks later, the competition will be hosted at the Estoril circuit, after which the teams and drivers will head to Spain for the second half of the competition, namely on February 21 and 22 in Valencia and on February 28 and March 1 for the final in Barcelona.

More news about the Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe will follow in the near future.
